Hello everyone. I went to church tonight and along came BV.. Its fine. I see him as just a friend now, if that. But I will tell you I learned, well not learned, maybe got a reminder about trust. Trust is defined in the dictionary as a firm reliance on the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing. Trust is something many people take for granted today. In my eyes trust should be earned, just as respect should. However you do have to give people chances to earn your trust. Maybe you start off small, and grow. From borrowing a little money, and eventually going to things like deep dark secrets you have. Trust is the basis of any relationship; it is everything. Withought trust you have nothing. I have decided to make myself more trust worthy, and trust in the Lord more. I need to trust that He will do the right thing for me and that He will do me right, no matter what. It is His word I shall try and follow, and it is His book I shall try to live by. It is going to be hard, and very difficult, but I think I can do it. It is a lot harder trying to be good than being bad. Anyone can be bad, it takes two seconds; however it takes time to make sure you do the right thing. You may actually have to THINK. But today I leave you with this, if you cant trust anyone, should they trust you?

Trustworthiness is so important in life, but you must keep in mind that us humans are imperfect and situations in life change over time. Trust does have it's limits so always have a contingency plan. Remember to properly interpret religious values with regard to the times in which they were written; it may be a cliche but the Golden Rule is the basis of civilized society. I think Jesus understood well the psychology of good and evil. bfn - Wayne :)
ReplyDeleteTrustworthiness is the first point of the Boy Scout Law. And it's there for a reason. Trust is the basis of all character. If you can be trusted at your word, then you are a better man. A trusted man sets an example to others. And trusting in God to guide you and see you through life makes life a lot easier, I think, rather than harder. It's no more difficult to make GOOD choices as it is to make bad ones. But with YOUR trust in the right place, you'll find the strength to make the right choices.
ReplyDeleteGood post, Andrew, you're growing up well.
Peace <3
